Orphanage Partnerships

BOP hopes to provide a sustained monthly resource to orphanages. Not just one off donations to individual projects but a month by month sponsorship that ensures that children get what they need all year round.

In many ways the Penial Children Home is the BOP flag ship of this partnership scheme. Closely linked with the support of Eden Openshaw Community Church in Manchester, we are providing £350 a month to the children of this orphanage. The growth of this partnership scheme depends on BOP itself growing, and developing a network of UK churches willing to support an orphanage on a one to one basis. The response from the first payment was touching. YOUR support has a REAL and tangible impact on childrens lives:

Dear Lawrence

We got the money last Friday. We are very much thankful to you. We cannot put into words, but we thank you. The money is going be used in the important needs for the children and for our daily needs like buying the curry etc. The money we got is Ks.487600 (£350). Now we have spent Ks-350000.

Here let me explain the way we used money: we bought 7 bags of rice, the children’s foot wear, school uniforms and bags. Also we used the money for their school admission.

Before we got the money, we had to borrow some money to pay for our daily needs but now we have paid this off and in our hand we still have Ks.137600.

My children are fine by the grace of God. They are so grateful for you helping their needs. They are eager to meet you next year. They love you very much. If you want the estimate of our expenditure, I will give you the detail of it.
